The Coastal Christian Rams compete in three formal league sports. In the fall CCS is part of the MCSSL (Maine Christian School Sports League) competing in co-ed soccer. In the winter CCS is part of the ACEL league competing in girls volleyball and boys basketball.
The Christian and Sports
Christians are enjoined, “-whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.” I Corinthians 10:31 Competitive sports are not exempt from this, therefore winning is of secondary importance to the Christian athlete. God given talents should be developed to their fullest extent. Humility, helpfulness and a continual awareness of the Lord’s omnipresence should ever characterize our teams.
